Deacon Paul Milligan

Permanent Deacon

Deacon Paul has been serving the Diocese of Youngstown and faith community of St. Rose since his ordination on November 18, 1995 to the Permanent Diaconate by Bishop Benedict Franzetta, Auxiliary Bishop of Youngstown.  His service to the parish included RCIA director;  training of Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors; and serving on various parish councils.  He also ministers with the Diocesan Prison Ministry programs and services.  Deacon Paul was appointed administrator at St. Rose by Bishop Murry effective February 1, 2010 until the installment of Msgr. John Zuraw as pastor.

Deacon Paul’s wife, Cathy, and daughter, Sarah, have been a vital part of the St. Rose music ministry along with his brother-in-law, Marty Chill.  Sarah and her husband, Andy Grasso, live in Connecticut with their son William John.

Deacon Paul has been a practicing accountant for over 40 years.  He recently sold his tax and accounting practice but still works part-time with the gentleman who purchased it.  Deacon Milligan looks forward to continuing his ministry with the faith community at St. Rose.
